we have this under a pedestal sink in a tiny bathroom and it is great. holds a good number of supplies and you can put an extra roll of t.p. on the veritcal prongs, hang towels on the horiz. bars and can set a book. love the roller casters as some models to do not have them and makes it easier to move for cleaning, etc. while somewhat sturdy, it will not last 30 yrs. and you do have to be sure when assembling it to keep it in balance.

Leifheit 25660 Parat Royal Wall-Mounted Paper Towel Holder

Very attractive unit. HOWEVER, there are major problems. )1) it is very difficult to load the foil or wrap; (2) the cutting blades often jam against the wrap and hang up when you pull them across the wrap; (3) cutting blades are not sharp enough they often only score the wrap rather than slice it; and (4) the rolls of wrap are not stable in the holders since they simply rest there,they tend to shift both back and forth and to each side, making pulling and cutting difficult. Also, it will hold only smaller (e.g. 75 foot) rolls. Paper towel holder is chintzy, and works best with smaller rolls larger rolls rub up against the wall and interfere with smooth pulling. We are trying hard to master this unit because it is so attractive, but it's a long battle after 3 weeks of use.

I found this on the internet years ago and it has always been "unavailable". I was so excited when it became available, perhaps my expectations were too high. It is a good concept, but so far my issues with it outweigh the benefits. A standard size foil roll will not fit in it. By the time the foil roll is small enough to fit, it will not come out smoothly. It is constantly getting bunched up and sometimes rips off before I even use the cutter. And speaking of the cutters, when you try to slide it across it often gets caught on the roll of plastic or foil that is sitting inside the holder. Also, I had to put oil on the cutters when I first installed it because they were so "rough" when they slid across. Overall, not that happy with this product.

This must take an award for the most poorly designed and worst functioning kitchen device! I had an earlier Leifheit model that served me well for fifteen years. I chose this model to replace the old one. It is attractive, but that is all that can be said for this device. The rolls of foil or plastic wrap constantly jam and the cutting sliders have tiny plastic ears that break off with little or no effort. This item is junk and a waste of money at any cost! Do yourself a huge favor and avoid the remorse that purchasing this holder will bring.

This is beautiful if all you want is an ornament for your wall. The cutters don't reach the wrap inside so all its good for is probably the paper towel holder. I was so frustrated with this product that I didn't bother adding the paper towel holder. Complete waste of money.

I was browsing through Pinterest one day and came across the "Polder Style Station".

I instantly thought it was genius, and would be so useful for me, as I will be going off to college in the fall and staying in the dorms.

I began looking at the Polder Style Station and had mixed opinions on it. After reading the reviews, I realized how awkwardly shaped it was. I also hated the fact that there wasn't an extra compartment for a brush or anything, without sacrificing one of the appliance openings.

So, I decided to see if I could find another hair appliance caddy, and came across the StyleAway.

I decided to get it and try it.

Overall, I'm pretty pleased.

Like other reviewers have said, I'm not sure how I feel about the hook...

Personally, I'm a little afraid to use it. It just feels a little flimsy, and after reading other reviews about their hooks breaking or even just having difficulty getting it to stay, I really haven't even tried out the hook yet, just because I'm afraid about it breaking.

But, overall, the caddy isn't bad. It has a lot of room in it.

On the left side (when you're looking at it), there are 2 metal slots. One is a little bigger, and one is smaller. I use the larger opening for my hair straightener, and the smaller opening for my curling wand. There is a slight gap between the metal part (it's supposed to be that way); the instructions tell you not to place anything there, but I find that it's perfect where I can put the cord right there next to it, so they aren't hanging out. Then there is the large compartment on the middle. As of now, I keep a brush, mirror, and comb in there. On the right side are two other "cubbies". I find that they work perfect for a large can of hairspray, and I keep my thermal spray in the front one.

There is certainly room for a hair dryer in one of the slots too (if I were to move one of my sprays into the middle section), I just don't have mine in there right now.

Overall, for the price, I love it.

It would be nice if they had a sturdier handle (and apparently one that sets on a bar easier), but, I really don't care about that right now. As of right now, it just sits on top of a shelf anyways, so I don't mind.

But for $20, I can't really complain.

I was impressed by the quality finish on this item (not a stain, but a process that "caramelizes the natural sugar in the bamboo"). A pleasure to the touch too. I also appreciated the three nonskid rubber feet (though 4 feet would have been even better).

Not bad. The three feet on the bottom just makes the whole thing unstable and does not help to stabilize the holder. It's ok for the basement or utility room, but if I had to choose again, I wouldn't buy it.

I have seen and used bamboo products before and I can attest to their strength, attractiveness, and durability. Unfortunately, this product came in pretty shoddy condition.

The base and the main paper towel holder did not fit each other. The part that helps you rip off the towel came split and could not even be attached to the base. It looked nice and basic, but I had to send it back since looks don't equal functionality. *UPDATE* I received the replacement intact and it seems fine. I would still recommend that you examine yours closely before using it. If I could change the stars, I'd bump it up to three. It's still not as attractive as I expected it to be.

Base seems a little lightweightI have another Umbra towel holder that weighs another few ounces than this one and that seems a bit more 'solid'.

Having said that, the lack of a really heavy base doesn't seem to impact the performance. It is pretty stable overall and I am able to tear off a towel with just one hand, which is the acceptance criterion:-)

If the base weighed the same as the other one I have, I would given it 5 stars.

I was fed up with my hanging towel holder. Always in the way, and tough to get the towels off.

This rack is just right. Doesn't take up too much counter space, and is lightweight. I don't think you need the spring contraption or all of the weight that comes with some units.

Cute/unique design... you lift the "beak" to insert the roll, then put it down on top of the roll to hold the towel roll down. Single towels rip off easily.

Three Shelf Corner Caddy in Chrome Plate

We have a tiled shower/tub with textured tiles, so anything relying on suction-cups was a no-go from the beginning. The ceiling is _high_, so the compression-pole caddies didn't work very well (they were either too loose, too tight, or too friggin' ugly).

The front, inside corner of the tub has _just_ enough space to hold this, though the middle foot hangs off in space because of the slope of the edge of the tub. Despite this, the unit is VERY stable, and holds all of our stuff (my wife has more shampoos and junk than should be legal, so that's saying a lot), with the tall bottles having enough space to fit perfectly.

We've had this for months, and there's no rust, etc.

There have been no problems.

Measure everything to make sure it will fit. To go with the measurements listed, assume it's going to take up about 9.75 inches from the corner (radially). That's what it does in our shower...

This thing stinks although it has a nice design, doesn't take up too much space, and is fairly sturdy I have had it for a month and it is starting to rust! It claims to be rust proof chrome wire, but even without scratches in it I now have noticeable rust along some of the joints and around the base on the tile. Save yourself the aggravation and try something else!

This Caddy works well and holds alot of items. Ive had others that would tip over, but this one does not. The down side is that it can get pretty nasty underneath if you don't move it out of the way and clean it regularly. Like anything metal you buy for the shower, it will rust over time, though I had mine for about a year before I saw any rust on it. All in all, I kept it for about two years and was satisfied. If you want to make it last longer, you might want to spray some rustolium on it and keep it out of the direct stream of water.

I bought this a few months ago, and, before using it, followed some advice I had been given for a previous shower caddy, which was to spray it before using with some clear Rustoleum. I gave it two coats (one coat each day, for two days), and let them dry. We live on the coast, where things rust and get moldy pretty quickly, but so far it's been holding up great.

This caddy is really great. I have a ridiculous amount of hair and shower products, and this holds them all. It has a small footprint, and the metal has a nice design so that it looks nicely made, and not cheap at all.

It also sits nice and flat on our shower floor, which is composed of very small 4x4" tiles; it doesn't wobble or move at all.

Overall, a fantastic purchase!

Alessi Mediterraneo Napkin Holder

I own the matching bowl to this napkin holder and bought this to match. It's great, but is way too small probably about 3 inches tall. If you use regular square napkins, they fall over and cover the coral design. Such a shame. I'm keeping it though to have the matching set and it is nice will probably work best with those smaller rectangle napkins.

It's very pretty, but VERY small. Standard size napkins droop over the top. And if you fold them over, only a few fit in. Then, they're too stuffed in and all come out when you pull on one. Also, the little branches are very pretty -but the napkins catch on them and it's hard to put the napkins in flush with the bottom.

This is such a great idea. I got one for my bath that had 4 holes in the top. However, the holes were so small they would not hold my denture brush. So, I ordered this one. The large opening is great for the denture brush, but grooves in the base to hold the handles is not as deep as the first one I got so brushes slip out easily.

The idea of the open holder for toothbrushes is great. It is easy to keep the bottom clean and brushes get to air dry easily. I wish I could find one with the openings like this one and the depth of the grooves in the bottom to hold the handles like the other one I got. It figures right?

Design House 539262 Millbridge Double Robe Hook, Oil Rubbed Bronze

I like the hook so far. The package comes with two plastic "pound in, then screw in" drywall anchors and two screws. Since I was mounting the hook to the back of a solid-core door, I used my own wood screws.

One thing that's nice, is that there is a lot of wiggle room if you don't mount the base exactly straight. Once you mount the base, you attach the hook and fasten it with a small set screw. Even if you mounted the base slightly crooked, once you crank down the set screw, it will hold the outside part straight even if the inner base is a little off.

Can't say anything about drywall mounting, but on the back of the bathroom door it is rock-solid.

Oil rubbed bronze color varies widely but this matched our Moen fixtures and the price was right what we wanted.

Moen DN6724ORB Danbury 24-Inch Towel Bar, Oil Rubbed Bronze

I purchased several Moen fixtures for a new bathroom: towel bars, hooks, towel ring, etc. all in the oil rubbed bronze finish to match other fixtures. These are the first Moen towel bars and related items I have purchased and installed. Previous experience with other name brands has left me skeptical about the mounting design and ease of instllation... but these Moen products were a very pleasant surprise!

As most bathroom hardware does these days, Moen incorporates small set screws in their design but in a much better way than others I have installed. The set screw is easy to set and adjust, and holds once set! Unlike others, these fixtures are not loose or wobbly after installation. Additionally, the wall mount hardware is made very well much better than others. Very sturdy and well designed it is made so that you only have one correct way to mount it, and the portion of the wall mount that holds the visible fixture is very sturdy and remains square!

I take away one star for the very thin material used in the towel bars themselves... the tube is adequate, but feels very light and flimsy compared to the rest of the hardware... a few more thousands of an inch thickness would have been nice.

I really like this style so I bought the set. I highly recommend the Moen Danbury line. Quality, well made product. Just picking them up you can feel that they are made right.

And, for the price, the Moens were so much sturdier and refined looking. The only disappointing featrue is not all ORB has the bronze look. This is almost black or deep chocolate. I had ordered the oil rubbed bronze, just be advised the finish is almost black and more satin than gloss. I was more interested in the fact that it was sturdy, easy to install, and stylish. 5 stars!! I went through three other products before finally finding this one. For starters, it's heavy and well cast. Great manufacturing throughout. The bracket holding the item to the wall is steel instead of plastic as in other items I have found. The instructions make sense, come with a handy template and great mounting hardware. Everything fits, no manufacturing defects, and the finish is flawless. I am totally happy with it.
