Brass fixtures are becoming very hard to find, but since I was "locked in" to brass in my bathroom I had to find something that already matched the other brass fixtures I had. I found this towel bar on Amazon quite by accident and decided to take a chance on it. I am completely happy with the quality and the fast service in receiving the order. It's heavy duty but very attractive and evidently made in the U.S.A. by a company called Allied Brass. The distributor is "Maison Drake" I believe. Very pleased with the item.
