Home Fashion 6-Bar Freestanding Towel Warmer, Drying Rack

Home Fashion 6-Bar Freestanding Towel Warmer, Drying RackAfter traveling in Europe I knew I had t have a towel warmer in my house. Knew I would find them on Amazon. This is a nice brushed stainless steel finish that goes well in my bathroom. I have mine mounted on the wall and it was easy to do. It came with mounting brackets and was a simple installation no wires. It also includes feet I am holding onto these incase I want to move it. The bars do not get Hot they just reach a level that keeps towels warm. You can leave it on 24/7 but there is a on off switch as well. I turn it off when I leave town.

Love my warm and toasty towels in the morning.

Difference between expensive models and lesser expensive ones is that the expensive ones heat up in minutes and go to a higher temperature, thereby enabling them to act truly as a towel warmer. Ones like this take up to 30 minutes to heat up to capacity and even then, its highest temperature is not warm enough to act as a true warmer, but rather, a towel dryer. I mainly use this as a towel dryer so that towels don't get to the point of smelling. Since it doesn't get too hot, I do feel safe leaving it on pretty much all the time though and am satisfied with it, being that I only paid $67 for it. Biggest downer to me is that it is plastic looking so doesn't present well for a higher end bathroom.

Whether due to climate or my bathroom's layout, my bath towel stays damp all day, so I purchased this to dry it faster -it does that well.

It has a lighted power switch (the switch's light is on when the power is turned on). The Owners Manual says: [Plug it in, turn the power switch on] "After a short time, the towel warmer will reach its operating temperature of 122 degrees F. Temperature will vary according to the temperature of the surroundings."

I observe that it takes about 5 minutes to get hot to the touch (probably the 122 degrees), and about 30 minutes will almost completely dry my bath towel. It works well. My "Kill-A-Watt EZ" ($26 on Amazon and worth every penny) says it uses 117 watts of power (not bad at all).

I purchased Belkin Conserve Socket F7C009q Energy-Saving Outlet for $10 on Amazon. It's a countdown timer that will turn off power to whatever you plug into it, in 30 minutes or 3 hours or 6 hours. It works great. Recommended that you purchase this too, so you can start the towel dryer then walk away and forget about it.

Both items do what I want them to do. I'm happy.

The towel warmer was perfect condition. The unit worked great and kept the towel warm. I put it away for now. Remodeling and will put it way for the new bathroom. Would order another one for the other bathrooms in the house.

Like others, I enjoy the towel warmers often found in Europe. This product is a good substitute. We mounted it on the wall. Very pleased with the warmth. I can imagine it would be a little unstable if left as a free-standing object and would warm the towels less efficiently if not against a wall of some sort. The bars are wider on this model than others which provides more surface area against the towel. I would recommend it without hesitation.
