We moved into a new house and needed hooks in the bathrooms for robes and pajamas. The hanger is bulkier than it looks. Also it is made for 1 3/4 inch thick doors, and mine (most) doors are 1 3/8 inches thick. I used felt strips cut to fit between the hanger and the door and placed on the hook side of the hanger, otherwise the door would not close. This gives the hanger a snug fit. Personally, I would look for the right door thickness in the future.

I bought this to put over a plywood door while in Afghanistan. I used in day in and day out to hang my uniforms when I got off duty. It fit nicely over the plywood door and never caused me any problems. This are a nice way to add hanging hooks to your door without having to drill into it. It has a nice look and construction. The only con I see is that they are meant for pretty thick doors, so the move at a little angle if they don't fit they have extra space, and that might make the door have a tiny bit more resistance when closing it. I was impressed with the quality of this over the door rack. It is well made, heavy, & nice looking. It looks more expensive than it was! The only thing I would change would be to make the hooks just a little further apart, but this is only a minor thing. It is well worth the money & appears that it will last for a long time.
