InterDesign York Metal Over-the-Shower-Door Towel Rack, Split Finish

This is not the sturdiest metal rack you could buy, but it does exactly what I wanted it to do: hold up a couple of hand towels while suspended over the glass shower "curtain". My attached rack broke off and was beyond any repair, so this was a quick fix that did the trick for me. It looks like photo, is lightweight, and seems durable enough to last if you don't bang the thing around. Not bad for the money.

Great quality. Fits absolutely perfectly over a shower door frame. The finish appears to be chrome, although it is decribed as stainless. But as I have said, the quality appears top notch so only time will tell if it rusts.

This looked great until I tried to mount it. For some reason, the door hangers are about 4 to 5" long with no adjustment possible. When mounted (you have to use wood screws in your door since it does not fit standard door thickness), it sticks out a couple of inches from the front or rear of the door. So in addition to looking odd, I cannot open the bathroom door very far or this unit bumps into the other cabinets. I returned mine.

Very happy with the purchase of this TP holder. Exactly what we were looking for. The quality is excellent and the oil rubbed bronze finish works beautifully with our other ORB products that are being used in the same bathroom. All parts(appropriate screws,mounting plate,instructions)were included. Highly recommend this product,price was very affordable considering the quality of the product. Only drawback was you get a plastic spindle, but I replaced it with a high quality metal one available through Gatco for $8.00.

I have been having a hard time matching items in my quest to redo my house with oil rubbed bronze hardware and fixtures. As many of you know, not all of the oil rubbed bronzes are the same. This matched perfectly with what I needed. It's hard to tell the exact color when you are looking online. This is dark with the "copper" or "reddish" undertone (not the gold undertone or the solid bronze or that weird "purple" color as you sometimes will find with less expensive items). My only issue was the bracket it came with didn't fit between my wall and the cement block behind it. Oh, and one of the long screws was slightly wider than the other so it wouldn't have fit into the bracket anyway. I was using a cutout that was there from a previous recessed paper holder so there were holes drilled into the block already. So I used the other matching screws (shorter) that came with it instead. It holds it in place just fine. Overall I am very pleased with the look and quality of the product.

When paying this much for a product, it sure would be nice if they

included everything needed to install it. It does not come with

a backing plate to secure into the wall. If you don't have a stud

to secure it too, you have to get creative.

I had a hard time finding this item because I needed a recessed unit which is a bit old fashioned for a "new" finish like oil-rubbed bronze. I figured I didn't have much to loose so I ordered it! I was so surprised at how nice the quality was. No need to spend a fortune on a "fancier" brand! The rod supports were mounted at an outward angle. Therefore, the distance between the supports and the 2 rods are different and the bottom rod will repeatedly fall out after some use. The cheap wall anchors don't allow you to screw the mounting bracket tighly onto the wall and this only exacerbates the previously mentioned problem as the bases will move slightly on the wall. The template for mounting bracket placement is a folded up and flimsy piece of paper that is essentially useless.

I have limited floor and wall space in my bathroom. So I needed a towel rack that could attach to the wall but not be obstructive. This definitely fits the bill. Holds big towels with no problems.

Only thing the way it's held together is a little ... "cheap"... In between each bar is a little metal cylinder. You don't notice them in the picture, but when you get this installed they don't completely tighten. So the bars end up being somewhat loose.

Overall I'm happy with it. If you are cramped on space, and need a place for used towels this is the best you can find out there right now.

Our building (condo) has 50 of these installed, most seem to have had breakage at the same location, the connection between the horizontal and vertical poles. The hinge metal is very soft and not at all adequate to support wet shower towelsat least not over several years even when treated with care.

I purchased a replacement since it was really the only product that fit the wall space available and matched the other fixtures. Hopefully this one will last another 3 years.

After searching the web for a towel bar to fit the small wall space between our shower and closet door I found this. The picture didn't give me a good idea of how nice it is. It was just what we needed to be able to hold our towels and easily grab as we step out of the shower. The three bars move from side to side allow our towels not to touch. If you are concerned with big towels not being able to fit the bar holds them without issue. I'm assuming the other reviewers are not hanging/folding their towels neatly (not sure what the issue is). Overall i'm highly satisfied and glad to have a place to hang our towels outside of the shower.

I just received this and, like other reviewers, was a little surprised at how small it is. I know I checked the size information here before ordering, so I came back and read the other reviews and saw that I wasn't the only one.

As it turns out, the measurements given here are for the BOX, not for the actual product. They really should correct this, because it's very misleading.

I just measured, and the actual size of the product is 14 1/2"H x 10 1/2"W x 2"D. Just barely. A full inch smaller in the width and a full 1/2 inch smaller in depth.

In any case, I'm keeping it because it will still work for me and I really like the way it looks. It will match all of the other things in my kitchen, like spice rack, paper towel holder, etc.

I'm happy with it, but I'm still taking off a star, because I feel that product measurements should be accurate.

It's still a decent size and will definitely hold a good deal of miscellaneous mail and bills, and it's just what I need to get myself organized. I recommend the product, but check the measurements I have given to make sure it will work for you. Don't go by what's up in the description. Hopefully they will correct it.

I find great bargains where I shop and I refuse to use antything else, even what the MFG. suggests...this is much better, but, if your MFG., disaggrees with you and you try to lay a lawful claim against the MFG. of the recommended cleansers your Warranty may be NULL & VOID for using these other cleansers that I use, but, my items will last longer, and be far, far cleaner than items that most other cleansers with "rags" of the "third kind" will ever be! So much for their warrantees.

Last point, try to wear one of these sheets down doing what ever cleaning you are cleaning and unless you are trying to clean files and saws up, then these will outlast any other "rag", towel, cloth, lintless rags available to you, BELIEVE ME, it's T~R~U~E!...Really, Rick of "Fourstrings"

This is a real conversation piece. The "A Di Alessi" line markets itself as accessible to everyone, though I find it to be whimsical more than anything. Comes exactly as pictured. Whole thing is made of plastic so it's not very heavy...knowing that, you may have to hold it down while you tear off sheets. The non-slip rubber pads on the bottom help a little bit, but not enough.

The bunny spins around on its base. Have needed a paper towel holder and will probably have this for the rest of my life.

The husband loves his Alessi so this was a Christmas gift. Some Alessi stuff is definitely more form over function but not this awesome paper towel holder. Love it. Only problem is I noticed that certain brands of paper towels make tubes that are touch too snug to fit over the carrot. Otherwise, no complaints.

The glass shelf is well made, the only problem I have with it is the screw that holds the shelf in place is in the center of the glass. I am using it in the bathroom for the soap dispenser. This set of magnetic hooks will not work on textured metal surfaces. I bought it to use on my Fridge (with a textured surface) and with any weight at all it just slides to the floor. I bought a set of individual "rare earth" magnet hooks that are 1/4 the size of the magnets on this thing and each of them will hold four-times the weight (for less than 1/3 the money for 8 hooks). If you are looking to mount this on a smooth surface it MIGHT work, but I wouldn't take the chance if I were you.

I ignored the reviewers that said this slid down the side of their textured fridges and bought it anyway. Unfortunately it does slowly slide down the side of our slightly textured fridge. The magnets just aren't strong enough. I ended up putting a second (stronger) refrigerator magnet right under each of the magnets on this rack. The extra magnets keep the rack from sliding down.

Overpriced! Unfortunately there are not alot of outdoor towel racks to choose from so you are stuck if you want a tree type towel holder. Pay attention to the height measurement, I didn't, I just looked at the picture. I didn't realize how short this towel holder is. My beach towels hit the ground if I do not have them perfectly folded in half on the rack and I was hoping to hang robes, but there is no way that will work. "Conveniently" a replacement parts form is included, so if I wanted to make it taller I actually can order another stem and connector for an extra price of $15.

The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because it could be about 6 inches taller so your towels don't hit the ground when using the lowest bar.

This is the first (and likely the last) review I'll ever write for Amazon.

Most deceptive ad. I ended up throwing ours away this morning (bought it five weeks ago for Mother's Day). It is most definitely NOT MADE OF BRONZE, and possibly the worst product I've purchased in the last 20 years.

This thing looks like it was made in a garage and likely won't last a single season.

It is primarily made of Home Depot quality plastic (read the ad carefully) with a hollow plastic base you're supposed to fill with water. Can't hold a towel in a light breeze without it, and it's too short anyway to hold a large size towel. Roughly $5 worth of plastic total in it, and should be sold for under $20. Looks like crap to boot.

Did I mention the water leaks out after a few minutes?

Go to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and spend the $199 for a real metal oneyes they're overpricedbut at least you won't have to live with this embarrassment sitting next to your pool and getting laughed at daily as it falls over.

I bought this item as a gift for a client, and ordered one for myself as well to see how it came packaged, and how it held up for future gifting. It came packaged fine but it is the cheapest towel rack I have ever seen. It warped outside within one day. It will not stay upright with wet or dry towels on it. PINEAPPLE 3 Roll Wrap Center Rack - Paper Towel Foil Saran

I've never owned one of these, so I can't state it's better or worse, but I find it hard to use. It tends to slip off of the screws when you pull up to tear the saran wrap or aluminum foil. It's not really got enough space between the rolls to make it easy to get the ends.

very wobbly---not sturdy..seems like pieces don't fit together properly; will probably need to replace it soon...sort of a waste of money.

This was my second marble towel holder. Both of them broke where the stem connects to the base. (Our fault, we dropped it.) Currently using a stainless steel towel holder that we like a lot better.
