Buy Outdoor Spa and Pool Towel Rack Now
This is the first (and likely the last) review I'll ever write for Amazon. Most deceptive ad. I ended up throwing ours away this morning (bought it five weeks ago for Mother's Day). It is most definitely NOT MADE OF BRONZE, and possibly the worst product I've purchased in the last 20 years.
This thing looks like it was made in a garage and likely won't last a single season.
It is primarily made of Home Depot quality plastic (read the ad carefully) with a hollow plastic base you're supposed to fill with water. Can't hold a towel in a light breeze without it, and it's too short anyway to hold a large size towel. Roughly $5 worth of plastic total in it, and should be sold for under $20. Looks like crap to boot.
Did I mention the water leaks out after a few minutes?
Go to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and spend the $199 for a real metal oneyes they're overpricedbut at least you won't have to live with this embarrassment sitting next to your pool and getting laughed at daily as it falls over. After reading the 2 previous reviews about how short this rack was, I was hesitant. But after getting the towel rack, I was pleasantly surprised! The rack was much taller than my previous rack, and much sturdier as well. The towels do not even come close to touching the ground. I am very particular about my furniture and accessories, and I am happy to give this item a 5 star review!I bought this item as a gift for a client, and ordered one for myself as well to see how it came packaged, and how it held up for future gifting. It came packaged fine but it is the cheapest towel rack I have ever seen. It warped outside within one day. It will not stay upright with wet or dry towels on it. There is no weight in the base so it blows over the second you hang a towel on it. I am thoughly embarrased that I sent this as a gift to my clients. What a waste of money and what a horrible representation to them of my services.
