Quilt & Blanket Rack

I ordered this rack to display two quilts in my bedroom. It was easy to put together and is very study. It shows offs the quilts just the way I wanted it to, and it is a beautiful addition to our bedroom. The price was quite fair, and I waited less than a week for it to arrive.

Was looking for a relatively cheap blanket rack to get my throws of the backs of my couch and chairs. I didn't ever find one I truly fell in love with, but this one appeared to have nice-looking wood, three tiers, fairly contemporary, simple design, and was shallow so it would fit where I wanted to put it.

Assembly was a 15-minute job with a screwdriver. First thing I noticed is that it is lightweight, which is OK except that it tended to tip toward the front of the unit (where the bottom bends in the legs are). Putting blankets on it helps weigh it down a bit, but it is still a bit tipsy in that direction. You will probably see it drop a few times when guests pull blankets from it (mine is wedged in beside a couch so I don't have that problem).

Both my throws fit fine. It's probably too shallow for thick or fluffy blankets, at least if you have more than one, or if you have to double or quadruple fold them due to length. There is maybe 3 1/4" space between the top rack and the second, and only about 1 1/2" between second and bottom racks. If you have blankets on both the second and bottom racks, you aren't likely to get one on or off without fiddling with both of them.

One other issue is that the finish on the vertical wood pieces has a couple of blemishes on the back side, inside the curves, but they are not visible from the front so I don't care.

All in all, I'd be happier if this were a $30 or $40 unit instead of $60-something. But it solved my immediate problem.

Attractive rack. Nice wood finish. Fairly easy to put together if 2 people work at it. There were 4 screws which came screwed into the 2 bottom silver poles which had to be unscrewed and then put through the wood. The directions should have mentioned that is where those screws would be found. I spent a good deal of time looking through the packaging looking for the screws when trying to take inventory of all parts at the beginning.

This was absolutely perfect for what I was looking for. Nice and modern. Totally functional to get blankets and afgans up and off the couch. Displays them nicely. Just makes the room look nice and tidy when you want your blankets close by but not always crumpled up on the couches. Shipping speed was average. Very easy to put together. Took me alone maybe five mins if that.

I bought this as a guest room towel rack. Guests usually end up having to hang their towels on furniture in the bedroom. The decor of the room is contemporary with a dark wood bed frame, so this looks perfect! It is over a floor heater vent making it even better. Easy to put together even without instructions. By the way there were no instructions for assembly, but because I have used similar parts, I managed it.

It is well made and sturdy. So 5 stars! Alex
