Paula Deen Signature Kitchen Tools 4-Piece Melamine Rooster Measuring Cup Set

There's a reason these measuring cups are hanging up for display, and note the photo for this item...They don't stand up by themselves!!! The handle is so heavy and extraneous that if you set the cup on the counter to fill it up, it will fall over (just like in the picture)! The photo makes it look like they are "on display" so you can see the chicken on the handle--NO they all tip over and rest on the chicken handle (just like the 1-cup in the photo)! The bottom is a VERY tiny footprint, which doesn't make it very stationary once it IS filled with ingredients. And even when the 1/4 cup is filled with water, it is very wobbly and tips over! These are a total waste unless you want a decorative set taking up space in your kitchen.

I liked these measuring cups until I needed to use them. They will not stand up on their own because of the weighty rooster design on the handle. It made measuring difficult and messy! I'm giving them away to an unsuspecting person and have since bought a stainless steel set.

I agree that they fall over. I beat a couple of eggs in the 1 cup and set it on the counter and it spilled over. Just not pratical.

The measuring spoons are really easy to use. By keeping them on the clip, you never have to look anywhere for a missing cup ever again. They are sturdy and hold up well when digging into flour or sugar.I love the fact that the sizes are not something that can fade away like the set I used to have. I don't have to guess which size I am using.
