Normally I'd build something like this but I did not have the time and this was inexpensive and looks very nice.

With three kids of driving age and four cars, keeping keys handy is essential, especially when I want to take the Beamer out and am blocked in by cars in the driveway, not to mention overnight guests, visitors, etc.

So I mounted this by the garage door (in the basement stairwell), an out of the way but handy location. It went up in a few minutes with a power screw driver.

It did not come with dry wall screws, but as keys are not very heavy, that may be OK. If it becomes a problem it will be easy to add dry wall plastic screw holders.

And now everyone is used to putting their keys on it, so it solves the multi-car problem plus the lost keys problem.

Well worth the money. I especially like the seven hooks so we can keep each set of keys on a separate hook. Remember you usually have two keys per car.
