InterDesign York Lyra Paper Towel Stand, Bronze

InterDesign York Lyra Paper Towel Stand, BronzeSturdy, bottom weighted, with rubber pad base (no slip) and takes all sizes of paper towels. No assy reqd. The dark copper-bronze finish looks classy and fits in good with the other utensils in my cranberry/hunter-green/ivory kitchen color scheme.

I really like being able to just slide the roll of paper towels onto the holder without having to take anything apart. This actually has two tones... the base is a dark coppery color, and the vertical rod is a deep oil-rubbed bronze color. This suits me just fine, because I have both ORB and copper fixtures and decorations in my kitchen. I also like the rubber pad on the bottom, which helps keep it from slipping around. The rod is very sturdy and substantial-looking. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is I wish the base would have been made of a heavier gauge metal or that they had weighted the base. The base isn't copper (nor is it advertised as such); it's some kind of metal (steel?), treated with a copper finish. But it was well done and doesn't look at all cheesy. Although a weighted base would have been better, I haven't had any problems with it falling over. All in all, it's very nice and I'd recommend it to anyone.

The overall look is quite nice, I like the bronzed finish and the design is simple. One star knocked off because the base should be heavier. It is weighted, but only a little bit. The rubber, or foam, pad on the bottom also feels cheap.
