It's pretty but you have to completely take it apart each time you want to change the paper towel. It's kind of a hassle and a little clunky. . . But I like it.
I love the look of this holder. The main downfall I see with it is not that you have to unscrew the top part with the bird on it every time you want to change the roll, it is the fact that the bird when screwed on properly faces the opposite direction of the leaves at the bottom of the holder. We tinkered with it some but found that there is really no way to correct that. It also does not hold the next towel on the roll back neatly they begin to flop off the lower the roll gets. Overall, in terms of quality I would say get it when it is on a good bargain (wink wink) since I do not find it to be worth the high price they are charging. It is clear that the cheap metal has just been painted over with something that might chip off and it has an unfinished quality to the ends of the branches. We thought the unfinished look to the ends of the branches added some realism, but they take the quality down a notch or two in our book. So if you are not concerned about those things and you like the look of the holder more that you care about those minor issues buy it. It still looks nicer sitting on my counter than some plain steel one would have. Matter of personal taste.

Made in China, had I known that I wouldn't have ordered it!!! Very cheaply made, the base is thin metal and it rocks back and forth. The branch at the bottom looks like it's broken and missing a leaf. However, after looking at the pic on here, it isn't broken. From a distance it looks great but up close not so much. I'm going to 'work on it' and make it look better. UPDATE: I got a can of black and a can of gloss spray paint and I painted the entire thing with the three light coats of black and then three light coats of gloss. It looks sooooooooo much better now!!!

It does not look as good as it appeared in the picture (including the colors being different) and the upright shaft is not straight.
