Gourmet Classics Solid Pot Mitt

For some reason, it is getting really hard to find the type of potholder that I like bestterry on the inside, pocketed (but not mitten-style), large enough to cover the whole hand & wrist, easy to pick up even hot & heavy pans with. The limited color selection of some sets, the small size of some holders, the gigantic size & way-too-thick filler of many mitts (I need to be able to feel if I've at least got a grip on my item!)...what a headache. The blue color that I wanted in this style was out of stock :( But the khaki is perfectly fine, and I'm sure the black or red would've done just fine, too. The price on this was a little higher than what I may pay in a grocery store, especially since I bought two, but I have yet to find ones this safe in a grocery store, even if I can find ones of this general style. I have a set like these, from another company, that are squarea little shorter & wider than theseand I prefer these. I picked up a pan today full of fish fillets that had been cooking for awhile at 425, then grabbed fries which baked at 450 on another panmy fingers & hands felt very little warmth coming through on either. The pockets really help prevent close calls & burns (and, man, there's nothing worse than a burn from a pan, especially one that blistersowwwwwwwwwww!) I'd definitely repurchase these. Amazon Prime delivers beautifully, as usualtwo days after ordering, I got these. Awesome product!

These are a great size, I even use them instead of my large oven mitts quite frequently. They work great to put down on my counters for large dishes that would normally hang way over a smaller size..

I tend to use these type WITHOUT putting my hand into them, but buy this type because just the pads are usually too thin and not as heat saving. THESE ARE PERFECT, good quality, nice bright color.

I purchased the Gourmet Classics Solid Black Oven Mitts (4) to replace similar mitts that I had used for years. The original mitts were much thicker and kept the heat off my hands. THe new ones, although adequate, could be thicker for security in handling hot items in the oven.
