Gatco 1537 20-Inch Towel Rack, Chrome

I wanted a towel rack, but was unwilling to spend a huge amount on one. Gave this a shot, and have been very pleased. It looks great very solid construction. It looks and feels like it should cost a whole lot more than it does.

I also like the fact that it screws directly into the wall instead of using a cover plate. While the cover plate method looks a bit more sleek, they have always been problematic for towel racks which have to hold up to the force of pulling a heavy towel. The plates tend to loosen from the wall and/or the cover plate never sits properly regardless of how much the set screws are tightened.

This model avoids those issues by having exposed screws that, if installed properly, will hold up far, far better to the everyday knocks and bruises a towel rack gets. The hardware package that comes with the rack includes screws and two types of wall anchors.

The item is also nicely packaged at the factory with ample padding so it stays scratch and dent free regardless of getting knocked about by the UPS folks.

I purchased this item last month and the construction is good. However, it was a bit smaller that I had anticipated and my larger bath towels seem to overwhelm the shelf above. I think this item would be perfect for a compact bathroom however. Try using standard sized towels on the shelf instead of big ones. Overall, a good product.

We attached our Gatco chrome shelf unit in a small newly remodeled bathroom which added additional storage for two hand towels on the lower rack in addition to a rolled fluffy bath towel and a box of Kleenex on the top shelf. I looked at numerous shelving units online and in stores before settling on this one from Amazon. This unit is a great value and in my opinion looks just as elegant and is as well-built as many of the more expensive shelving units. So why waste your money? I highly recommend this one.

Easy to install. Seems a bit flimsy before installing but is very sturdy and nice looking once installed. Large enough to easily hold bath size folded towels on top. Very happy with my purchase. Received it very quickly.

Just the right size and really quite good looking. I did not want to spend a ton of money on this and was able to pick one up used in the Amazon Wharehouse. A cover plate for the screws would give it a more finished look. We installed it using Home Depot's 1/8" x 3" toggle bolts(2" toggles were too short) Sturdy as can be!
