Creative Bath Give A Hoot Wastebasket

This is a cute, well made, heavy trash can. Perfect for our cheery owl bathroom. Only decorated on one side but that's okay.

I began with just the Give a Hoot shower curtain by Creative Bath but decided to fully commit and buy all the coordinating accessories. The product line may be a tad juvenile for this 30-something, but life is short; whimsy is ageless.

The can is VERY heavy, probably a good 5 lbs. I was immediately impressed with the heft and quality of the resin. One of my dogs has rarely met a can he can't topple, but this stymies him. So rest assured, the bin may be pricey but you're getting a solidly made piece. If your bathroom floods, this isn't going to float off too easily!

As another reviewer mentioned, the 3 owl figures (in bright pumpkin, oyster white, and Caribbean blue) are only featured on the front of the can. But a cool detail is the brick wall pattern that is carried over from the curtain--it borders both the top & bottom of the can; the fact that it's cut into the resin, not painted on, is a lovely detail that points to high quality workmanship.

The color is a pale mint, not the vibrant candy apple green that repeats in the other accessories; the leaves of the branches wouldn't have contrasted as well if the can wasn't lightened to the more subdued green. The finish is nice and glossy making it a breeze to clean

I hate using a can liner in this because I want nothing to distract from how adorable these owls are! It's fun for all ages; if you're debating adding more Hoot accessories, this one is a great addition despite being the priciest of the lot.
