Please note that the instructions are unclear, showing three different ways to install but numbering them all as one series of steps.I was hesitant on buying this when I saw some of the reviews, but I went ahead and made the purchase. I think it's exactly what is advertised and works just great. It looks just like the picture and does just what it states. So I'm happy. If I had to be picky, I would say I'm not sure it's worth $40. Maybe more like $30. But I'm happy.
To the previous reviewer that thought it was rickety...you probably didn't install it correctly. I could see how that would be possible if adjustments weren't made to the connections. But once I adjusted and tightened everything up...it's pretty sturdy.

Good for what it is.What is it?
A towel rack that hangs from the upper and lower hinges of the door.
It serves us well in a small apartment bathroom that lacks wall space to mount a hanging rack big enough to store four sets of towels. This thing does that from behind the door in what would otherwise be unusable space.
It is not particularly well made, sloppy fitment, imprecise alignment, cheap and lightweight.
It doesn't have a method to hold its position when the door moves and it swings to whatever location gravity or hinge dynamics dictate. If you require a buttondown appearance as you view this part of your kingdom from your throne then you'll have problems with this rack. It does stay put and does not affect the door when the door is open which is what we require. This rack swinging issue is no doubt going to differ in different installations. As a bonus of unintended consequence, the layer of towels keeps the door from smacking the wall when opened.
Kids would kill it in about 30 seconds flat.
Hanging wet towels on it takes forethought. A casual placement and they drop to the floor. That's a fail.
It can be assembled by one person but you do not want people that respect you seeing you doing it.
Verdict: if space restrictions align with available space behind the door and that location is in close proximity to the sink and/or tub, you could do worse than this solution.

much more complicated to install than advertised. did not fit my kinges and requires 2 drill holes into the doorway trim. am returningWant Household Essentials Hinge-It Clutterbuster Valets Discount?
First, I had to rig it to make it work with my door hinges, so that was kind of disappointing but, hey, maybe my door is not standard. (Who knows?!) But, at the end of the day, I took it all down because it's just really cheap looking. It doesn't look like my other brushed nickel fixtures and even though it's metal, it actually looks more like cheap plastic. So, I can't recommend it if you care about how things look in your home.
It did work as far as the way the product was supposed to work, once I was able to make it work on my door. But I ended up throwing it away.
