Pfister BTB-D2 Treviso 24" Towel Bar,

I purchased a complete Treviso Lavatory set for a powder room remodel. The set is beautiful and the packaging assures easy installation. When it is installed, I expect that we will be pleased with the appearance.

The installation instructions are fairly standard: mount a bracket on the wall, put the appliance in place, tighten the set screw. Here's the rub The set screw is a very small slotted screw set in a channel. On one device, the set screw is either over-tightened or is painted in place. It will not budge with the tiny (eyeglass repair at the suggestion of PF customer support) screwdriver that is required to access the set screw. If I twist harder, I fear the screw driver will break. In the 21st century, progressive companies use allen head set screws and provide the appropriate allen wrench. Wish I had purchased from such a company. PF provides no warning on the packaging that special tools are needed for the installation.

PF support has offered to send me a replacement, with no assurance that the screw will be looser in this set. I still will need to provide the appropriate tiny screw driver. This poor design has turned a 15 minute installation into a multi-day annoyance.

This is basically a confirmation of the prior review. To assemble the towel rack, you'll need a small screw driver, like the kind used for repairing eyeglasses. There's no indication of this on the packaging. Other than this design flaw, the product is OK.
