OXO Good Grips PullThru Paper Towel Holder

My wife had been using an old verticle style paper towel holder that was a pain to use so I decided to look for another horizontal holder like we had previously. I decided with this Oxo Good Grips PullThru Paper Towel Holder. After mounting the unit on a place on our kitchen wall we then put it to use. Apparently Oxo has made needed changes to the paper towel holder since the previous reviews given here in 2007. We have no complaints on the use of this unit as indeed it is a one hand use paper towel dispenser and has a brushed stainless look that pretty much goes well with most kitchen appliances.

This paper towel holder is silent (it doesn't click) and the front bar lets you tear paper towels with one hand.

I don't know what the other commenters were complaining about. I've bought three of these, and I've been satisfied.

My basement is finished and separated in two sections. One side is the laundry room. Next to the sink is the washer and dryer where I have a paper towel holder above the washer. I can't tell you how many times we pulled the paper a little too hard and the entire roll comes off and falls behind the washer. Then we have to crawl under the sink and reach behind the washer to get the paper towels out. We even tried putting a larger cardboard roller inside the one that comes with the paper towel to hold it tighter but that still did not totally eliminate the problem. I finally decided to take the time and look for a towel holder that had the rod inside. Well, I saw this one and said wow, not only a rod inside but a bar to make it cut easier. I had to give it a try. It is wonderful!!! Beyond my expectations and believe me I have got my share of lemons but this towel holder lives up to everything that is said about it. All I can add is "Go for it; You will not be sorry.

Shame on OXO. This product is a waste of natural recources.

Looked nice once installed, but difficult to operate, wouldn't tear consistantly, a pain to rewind, and the tab holding the crossbar broke during the first paper roll. Returned it. Bought a 'perfect tear' racheting undercounter type, love it!
