Household Essentials Hinge It Clutterbuster Four Bar and Hook Valet, White

Household Essentials Hinge It Clutterbuster Four Bar and Hook Valet, WhiteI have a similar one of these in a second bathroom. That one mounts on two hinges and is sturdier. This one will not stand up to use with two hinge mounting. Too wobbly and sags out of vertical alignment. The door needs three hinges to use this design.

This works great. The brackets were fine for my hinges. If you look at the brackets, they are reversible vertically to give a little more play in where the hinges have to be. I actually ended up mounting mine to the wall with the eye bolts included. This allowed me to get it closer to the tub so the boys don't drip all over the floor on the way to their towel. It wiggles a tiney bit but nothing to make me worry about loading on a wet towel. It has been up for about two weeks and so far so good. If the quality seems to plummet after a few months, I will amend this. Otherwise, I am very happy with it.

Yes, the instructions aren't fantastic, but come on. It is a tubular towel rack with a picture of the assembled product. what do you really need?

I had something like this years ago that worked really well. This is NOT the same product. It is so pathetic that I couldn't believe that I had assembled it correctly; I had! The separate pieces do not lock together so the whole thing is wobbly, feels like it will fall apart if you actually hang towels on it. I tried to fix the problem by taping the ends so they would lock, and running dowel down the center. No luck. Maybe I can drill holes in it and screw it together. Or I will just toss it in the trash. You can only return stuff unopened or in original condition, so once you realize it is junk. . . oh well.

This is a great idea for hanging multiple towels in a small space. I had little clearance behind my door so this seemed like the perfect answer. Well, it is, kinda. The most frustrating thing is how poorly this concept was executed. The bars feel extremely cheap, the vertical pieces don't lock together tightly, and the whole thing doesn't actually swing with the door when you open and close it instead it just sort of flops around aimlessly. What is most frustrating is how anyone with any common sense could see how to fix these deficiencies both easily and cheaply. Have little plastic pieces secure the vertical bars together snugly. Duh! That would cost 5 cents. Have a way to anchor the whole thing to the door so that it swings with the door. Again, duh! Another 5 cents. I'm keeping this for now b/c I need the functionality, but once someone else executes this idea more effectively I will get that one instead.

I give this towel holder 5 stars because of it ease of assembly. However, there are no written instructions, only pictures. If you are not mechanically inclined then you might wind up with a problem. The brackets holding the holder to the door have to be adjusted on the door to get rid of the wobble.
