Not cheap & tacky...has quite a solid metal 3/4 ring towel holder. I bought a couple of these, one for each bathroom, as they are fully tiled & needed something that didn't require drilling etc. So simple to install, as you just twist the dial on the suction plate clockwise, until it's sealed. Seconds to put up, is very secure & hasn't dropped off the wall! No hesitation in recommending this product.

The towel ring arrived in a box that had allowed some rub marks/scratches to develop on the knob. Not noticeable enough to send back. Though this is for my daughter's condo I did stick it to the kitchen window to see if it would hold well. It held very well for the 4 days I had it up. I needed a nice looking towel hanger that wouldn't require me to screw any holes in the wall. The suction cup went right on and although I haven't been hanging off of it like a trapeze, it's worked great.
